BIOFUEL - THE FUEL OF THE FUTURE
Eurogaz’s
Biofuels Business
Eurogaz aims to develop biofuels that provide clean and
reliable energy for transport. To achieve this, we will
invest in new plants as well as existing ones providing that
the underlining businesses are feasable and suitable for
further investment. Our biofuels business is going to
develop and produce competitive, lower-carbon fuels, capable
of being manufactured, distributed and marketed to customers
at a wholesale market scale.
BP's recently published Energy Outlook 2030 projects future
energy trends and suggests that by 2030 biofuels will make
up around 9% of transport energy requirements globally, up
from 3% today.
The EU Commission proposes in its Renewable Energy Roadmap a
binding target of increasing the level of renewable energy
in the EU's overall mix from 6% today to 20% by 2020.
Biofuels could make up to 14% of transport fuels by 2020.
